Oh, how our childhood selves are rejoicing right now. Didn’t you hear? 'Sesame Street' made history as it added its first Asian American Muppet to the cast. Ji-Young, the 7-year-old Korean American girl is slated to debut Thanksgiving Day as part of a special titled “See Us Coming Together.”
“She’s a musician, she plays electric guitar, she’s a girl of the very modern American fabric,” Alan Muraoka, who plays the owner of Hooper’s Store on the show, told NBC Asian America. “She recognizes the culture through her relatives — her grandmother, through her mother — and through the food she eats and loves.”

An unexpected fan favorite from ‘Eternals,’ check. Marvel movie viewer, not quite. Marvel posts about Harish Patel, who portrays the valet Karun in the franchise’s latest film, “Eternals,” were among the most popular regarding “Eternals,” racking up almost 30,000 likes on co-star Nanjiani’s Twitter account alone. Social media users flooded the comic franchise with calls to bring Patel back for future films and this week, it was revealed that Karun had been given his own Twitter emoji.
Not to humblebrag, but Robin Tran knows she’s a genius. Featured on Vulture’s annual list “Comedians You Should and Will Know” Robin describes her humor as: “Mischievous shit-stirring Asian trans lesbian.”
