Updates to Crushing The Myth!
Hi everyone, wishing you a happy Lunar New Year! As we roll into 2022 we’ve got some updates for you. Please take a look as some newsletter features will change.
~ Recap of our weekly newsletters ~
Starting in February, we will send 3 distinct emails:
Crushing The Myth News (on Monday and Wednesday evenings, we summarize the top trending headlines on Asian American news and newsmakers) - *free subscribers get an abbreviated version, paid subscribers get the entire newsletter.
Entertainment Exclusive (on Thursday evenings, we send an in-depth editorial on Asian American news and newsmakers in the Entertainment Industry) - *free subscribers get an abbreviated version, paid subscribers get the entire newsletter.
Cultural Perspective (on Sunday nights, we invite a guest columnist to send out a unique perspective on Asian American culture) - *free to all subscribers.
If there’s big, breaking news, you’ll get that, too. (We try to be respectful of your inbox and send only the most important breaking news.)
~ Free subscribers vs. Paid subscribers ~
Free subscribers get an abbreviated version of the Monday and Wednesday newsletters as well as an abbreviated version of the Entertainment Exclusive. The complete Monday and Wednesday Crushing The Myth Newsletters and the Entertainment Exclusive newsletter are available to paying members. Membership is $5/month or $50/year. There’s also a premium tier at $100/year that includes paid subscriptions for up to three email addresses and other perks — and lends support to the new model of independent media Crushing The Myth represents.
In short summary:
We’re giving you more links and headlines each week because Asian American news is growing! Free subscribers get abbreviated versions, paid subscribers get full access. And we’re introducing a new “Cultural Perspectives” guest column each Sunday night which everyone will receive (free).
//
For the next couple of weeks, we’ll keep the weekly headlines newsletter free (but show you where the paywall would go). We hope you’ll see enough value in joining our Paid Subscribers community, and we’re delighted you’re part of our newsletter. Our mission is to always bring you unique perspectives and the latest headlines on Asian American news and newsmakers.
